Below is some of our participant's work. We encourage responses of all kinds to the discussions that take place during our courses.
We are delighted that one of our recent participants has been recognised with a Gold Award for their fiction writing in the 2024 Koestler Awards. Koestler Arts highlight the creative potential of people in the criminal justice system, in part through their annual awards. A full list of award winners can be found on their website here.
One favourite philosophical puzzle is ‘Trigger’s Broom’:
In one prison the prison officer was as absorbed in the puzzle as everyone else in the room. But he happened to have a contact who knew Roger Lloyd-Pack the (sadly now deceased) actor who played Trigger, and came to the closing ceremony with Trigger’s Broom! Inscribed on the broom is this: ‘this is, and always has been, MY BROOM. Trigger’.
